CloudStream APK On FireStick: Download & Install Guide
Amazon Fire Stick is probably the most popular way people use CloudStream on a TV, and for good reason. It’s affordable, widely available, and handles streaming exceptionally well. If you’re looking to install CloudStream on Firestick, the process is straightforward and only takes a few minutes. Once installed, remote navigation works smoothly, the TV interface loads correctly, and 4K streams play without issues as long as your internet connection is stable.
Here’s how to get it set up from scratch.
What You Need To Install CloudStream APK On FireStick
Allow Apps from Unknown Sources
Fire Stick blocks sideloaded apps by default. Fix this first, or nothing will install.
Go to Settings → My Fire TV → Developer Options → Install Unknown Apps. Find Downloader in the list and toggle it ON.
If you don’t see Developer Options, go to Settings → My Fire TV and tap the About section seven times. It unlocks Developer Options.

Install the Downloader App
On your Fire Stick home screen, go to the search bar and look for Downloader by AFTVnews. It’s free on the Amazon Appstore. Install it. This is the tool that gets the CloudStream APK onto your Fire Stick without needing a PC or USB drive

Download the CloudStream APK On FireStick
Open Downloader. You’ll see a URL bar at the top. Type in the APK download URL from this page exactly. The downloader will fetch the file and ask what to do with it.
Tap Install when it finishes downloading. The CloudStream APK installs directly to your Fire Stick.

Delete the APK File
Once installed, Downloader asks if you want to delete the APK file. Say yes, you don’t need it anymore, and it frees up storage. The app itself stays installed
Find and Open CloudStream APK On FireStick
It might not appear on your Fire Stick home screen automatically. Go to Your Apps & Channels → See All and look for it there. Long-press and select Move to Front to pin it to your home screen if you want it easily accessible.

Add a Repository and Start Watching
Open the app. Language selection comes first, then content preferences. Once you’re past the setup screens, the home feed is empty — that’s expected.
Navigate to Settings → Extensions → Add Repository. Use the Downloader app’s keyboard or a Bluetooth keyboard to paste a repository shortcode.
MEGAREPO and ROWDYCADO are the two most used starting repositories for Fire TV users. Install the CloudStream extensions inside them, return to home, tap None, select your extension, and the content loads.
Switch to TV Layout
CloudStream detects Fire TV automatically in most cases. If the interface looks like a phone layout, go to Settings → Appearance and switch to TV mode. Everything becomes remote-navigable, and the layout fills the screen properly.
Troubleshooting
Fix Installation Issues
1. Downloader can’t find the URL — double-check the URL for typos, use the clipboard paste function if available
2. “App not installed” error — not enough storage on your Fire Stick, delete unused apps first
3. Remote navigation feels clunky — switch to TV layout in Settings → Appearance
3. Extensions not loading content — tap None on the home screen and manually select the extension
4. Fire Stick runs slow after install — restart the device. CloudStream APK On FireStick is lightweight, but older Fire Stick models benefit from a fresh restart
